Hill Residence
Steve and Patty Hill found their great old 1950s mid-century home by the beach in Carpinteria… the place they wanted to settle down and retire. But, their home was too small, too dark, and too cut off from the outdoors to be livable for them. So, we found creative ways to expand their living space on their very tight lot, open up the rooms in the house to reach out to the surrounding landscape, and embrace the classic 50s mid-century style with a complete modern design transformation… helping them realize all the potential their new home could be for them.
We hired NMA to completely remodel our 1957 mid-century modern tract home. Not only were they delightful to work with, but they are extremely talented architects who took our vague and amorphous ideas and transformed them into tangible plans that vastly exceeded our expectations. Their team was very good at employing a collaborative approach, taking our thoughts and coming up with a highly original and creative design. We couldn't be happier with the final result and are very grateful to the NMA team for making our remodeling project so fun and enjoyable.
